FREC 3 REQUALIFICATION COURSE OVERVIEW:

The QA Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) Requalification is specifically designed for those seeking a career in the emergency services, ambulance services, the event medical sector or those who work in high risk workplaces. The qualification is approved by Qualsafe Awards (the UK’s largest Awarding Organisation for first aid qualifications) and is clinically endorsed by The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh – Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care (FPHC). The course is also recognised by the SIA when applying for the Close Protection licence.

Learners MUST HOLD an in date FREC 3 Certificate.

Learners must be at least 17 years of age to attend the course.

Mandatory Practical Assessments:

-Infant Basic Life Support

-Airway and Ventilation Skills

-Prehospital Emergency Trauma Care

-Prehospital Emergency Medical Care

Optional Practical Assessments (Included in 3rg's FREC 3 Course):

-Supraglottic Airway Device

-Inhaled Analgesia (Nitrous Oxide)

-Inhaled Analgesia (Penthrox)

-Administration of Naloxone

-Blood Glucose Measurement

Theory Assessments:

x2 Invigilated Multiple Choice Exams

16 out of 21 to Pass (30 Minutes).

28 out of 40 to Pass (60 Minutes).

CERTIFICATION: Successful students receive: Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care.
