FREC COURSE OVERVIEW
The QA Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) qualification is specifically designed for those seeking a career in the emergency services, ambulance services, the event medical sector or those who work in high risk workplaces.
The qualification is approved by Qualsafe Awards (the UK’s largest Awarding Organisation for first aid qualifications) and is clinically endorsed by The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh – Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care (FPHC). The course is also recognised by the SIA when applying for the Close Protection licence.
THE COURSE CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING 3 UNITS;
Unit 1 – first response emergency care
Unit 2 – first response emergency care of trauma
Unit 3 – first response emergency care of medical conditions
Assessment is via a series of 13 x practical assessments, 4 x Skills Tests and 3 x Theory multiple choice question papers.
At 3rg, we are one of the few training companies who employ our own qualified paramedic to teach first aid and medical courses (meet our instructor) which ensures continuity in all our medical training.
Successful students receive: Level 3 Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care
Available to students who have successfully passed our FPOSi Course within 3 years, there is a 3 day conversion course which includes all practical assessments and exams.
All students MUST complete the mandatory pre-course reading prior to the commencement of the course, there is a choice of 2 books (Full course and Conversion course), these can be purchased direct from our awarding body Qualsafe:
