Maritime Security Operator (MSO)

Overview

3rg’s MSO’s course has been developed to meet the particular requirements of anti-piracy armed security and to address the need of personnel looking to gain employment as Privately Contracted Armed Security Personnel (PCASP).

The MSO course is designed to be the first port of call for students who wish to gain a career in the maritime security sector. 3rg are able to advise and organise other relevant courses and requirements such as the STCW95 and the ENG1 medical, in turn allowing students to gain employment in the shortest time possible.

The MSO’s course addresses the industry need for relevant and effective training, as highlighted by the International Maritime Organisation in their guidance advice for the employment and training of PCASP.

3rg hold a unique position in terms of a training provider due to the background of our senior management and the close working relationships with a number of Poole based Private Maritime Security Companies. For successful candidates this gives the potential for direct referral to employment opportunities.
